Public Relations Professionals
Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization (ECPRO) is a
professional organization that fosters an interest in the public
relations field; encourages professional development for those
employed in the public relations field; maintains a high degree
of standards and ethics in the performance of public relations
tasks; offers instruction for accreditation. ECPRO was formed in 1992 and is a member of the

ECPRO members are civic minded and contribute to the local community in a number of ways. One of the organization’s main endeavors is the sponsorship of the Student
Campaign Competition for students in Okaloosa and Walton counties. A foundation has been established to accept tax deductible donations/sponsorships. For more information about the competition

ECPRO is dedicated to professional development. The ECPRO executive board is committed to devising, formulating and implementing effective and appropriate communication programs for their members. Once a month members meet for a luncheon, which provides networking opportunities and features a guest speaker. Speakers address various PR functions and how they relate to their particular business situations.
ECPRO members are civic minded and contribute to the local community in a number of ways.

| It’s time to start thinking about entering some of your work in the Lantern Awards — a competition sponsored by the Southern Public Relations Federation. Perhaps it was planning and organizing a special event, branding of a product or a business, an annual report, a brochure or folder, designing a logo or your letterhead or business card or a promotional product. There are also categories for speeches, news releases. PSAs, web design and videos. These are just a few examples of the many categories within the competition. We’d love to take your photo standing there with a Certificate of Merit an Award of Excellence or better yet a Lantern Award and have you enter the award on your resume.
Work needs to be done between May 2011 and April 30, 2012. Deadline to submit is July 2nd. |
