Established in 1994, Coco's expertise grew out of a passion for new media design toward a focus on web-based information technology. Coco provides application design, development and marketing services to commercial, non-profit and government organizations.
Along with his duties at Coco, Jay frequently speaks to schools, businesses and professional associations on e-commerce, internet marketing and social media marketing. He is a past president of the American Advertising Federation in Pensacola and also serves on several business development and charitable boards including: Northwest Florida IT Advisory Council, High Growth Business Advisory Board, IT Gulf Coast Board of Directors, GSTC Business Technology Advisory Committee, Pensacola Downtown Improvement Board, Appetite for Life Advisory Board, UWF Institute for Innovative Community Learning Advisory Council and served as executive director for
Slowlane.com, an online resource, reference and network for stay-at-home fathers from 1997-2007.
Jay established the Coco Cares grant program in 2007 in an effort to enhance emerging business development in and around the Pensacola area. These grants support selected nascent entrepreneurs in Northwest Florida in need of internet marketing support yet do not have the means to afford a professional web development / internet marketing agency. In addition to supporting small businesses in the Florida panhandle, Coco Cares is an international lending partner with Kiva.org to leverage global entrepreneurial support having funded over forty small business micro-loans to date.
His non-professional endeavors include watching his son play high school baseball, climbing, juggling, scuba diving, skiing, mountain biking and learning to play the didgeridoo.
